Second Stage Round 11: Slavia - Hradec Kralove 91-80

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Slavia (11-20) beat bottom-ranked Hradec Kralove (5-26) in Praha 91-80 on Wednesday. Slavia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Trevor John (190-1995, college: Drexel) who led the winners and scored 22 points. His fellow American import point guard Adam Dworsky (180-1998, college: SE Oklahoma) accounted for 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Worth to mention John played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Five Slavia players scored in double figures. Slavia's coach Pavel Benes allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Montenegrin center Maksim Sturanovic (210-1988, agency: 011 Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian-Swedish point guard Aleksa Solevic (190-1993, agency: 011 Sports) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for Hradec Kralove in the defeat. Newly promoted Slavia maintains tenth place with 11-20 record. Hradec Kralove lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Slavia will meet Olomoucko (#11) in the next round. Hradec Kralove will play against USK Praha and hope to secure a win.
