Regular Season Round 25: Dnipro - Zaporizhye 91-63
Date: March 30, 2023
Everything went according to plan when second ranked Dnipro (22-7) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Zaporizhye (3-26) 91-63 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. Zaporizhye managed to win fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dnipro looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Maksym Zakurdaev (196-1993) supported him with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by forward Anton Buts (203-1988, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Zaporizhye. Forward Roman Morozov (204-1998) added 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dnipro have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-7 record having six points less than leader Budivelnyk. Zaporizhye lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games.
