Regular Season Round 26: E.Ashkelon - H.Afula 97-86

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked H.Afula (19-7) on the court of third ranked E.Ashkelon on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by E.Ashkelon 97-86. They made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. E.Ashkelon looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American forward Dakarai Tucker (196-1994, college: Utah) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Naturalized American guard Clarke Rosenberg (193-1993, college: Chicago St.) contributed with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American Jimmy Hall (203-1994, college: Kent St.) replied with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (206-1989, college: S.Florida) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for H.Afula. Five E.Ashkelon and four H.Afula players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. E.Ashkelon maintains third position with 17-9 record having just two points less than leader H.Afula, which they share with M.Ramat Gan. H.Afula at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost.
