Second Stage Round 4: Rivne - SumDU 78-62

An interesting game for Rivne (6-0) which hosted in Rivne one of their biggest challengers SumDU (3-3). Top-ranked Rivne had an easy win 78-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SumDU. It looked good early as SumDU took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rivne had a 28-12 second period charge getting the lead and SumDU was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-78. Rivne forced 22 SumDU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by SumDU's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds and forward Oleksandr Shepelev (201-1994) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Igor Starodub (182-1997) responded with 16 points and center Vyacheslav Kiktev (210-2002) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rivne have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. SumDU at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Politekhnik-2 and Zhytomyr. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
