The game between second ranked Dnipro (9-10) and fourth ranked Blyskavky (13-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Dnipro unexpectedly was crushed by in Vinnytsia 49-89. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dnipro. The game without a history. Blyskavky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Dnipro's 30. Blyskavky forced 21 Dnipro turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Dnipro's players. Guard Victoria Ogiy (170-1995) stepped up and scored 27 points and 9 assists for the winners and Larysa Stadnik (185-1992, agency: BIG) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Olena Khoroshykh (176-2002) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Kateryna Chernysh (175-2006) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted Blyskavky maintains fourth place with 13-8 record. Dnipro at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with ten games lost. Blyskavky will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dnipro will play on the road against Blyskavky 2 in Vinnytsia and is hoping to win this game.
