The game between closely ranked teams ended with top-ranked Rivne's (6-0) home victory over their biggest opponent Politekhnik-2 (3-3) 76-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rivne. Politekhnik-2 managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivne dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Politekhnik-2's 30. They outrebounded Politekhnik-2 58-38 including a 45-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rivne looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Taras Shaniuk (179-1992) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by Rodion Kuzmin (191-2003) did not help to save the game for Politekhnik-2. Guard Vladislav Tsitsora (188-2001) added 11 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivne have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Politekhnik-2 keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with SumDU and Zhytomyr. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
