Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Sueca (18-7) beat at home 14th ranked Jovens (3-22) 69-61 on Saturday. Italian forward Roberto Malpede (198-1988) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian point guard Vicent Vercher (182-2000) chipped in 15 points. Four Sueca players scored in double figures. Sueca's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Bernat Mondragon (178-1996) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and Borja Garcia (190-1996) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sueca. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Esportiu. Jovens lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 22 games lost. Sueca will meet Esportiu (#4) in the next round. Jovens will play against Manises-Quart (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
