There was no surprise in Madrid where 14th ranked SBA (2-21) was outplayed by seventh ranked Zentro Basket (14-9) 104-63 on Saturday. Zentro Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to SBA's 32. Zentro Basket forced 22 SBA turnovers and outrebounded them 43-24 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by SBA's players. Senegalese center Pape Bocar Sall (211-2001) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ukrainian Daniil Shelist (202-2003) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Zentro Basket's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Montenegrin forward Bodin Saranovic (196-2004) produced 21 points and Domen Mohar added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Zentro Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. SBA lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 21 games lost. Zentro Basket will meet Alcala (#5) on the road in the next round. SBA will play against La Solana (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
