The game was mostly controlled by Karkkila. Korinokia was better in fourth quarter 25-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Korinokia used huge pressure winning it 25-8 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 8-18. Karkkila forced 28 Korinokia turnovers. American point guard Deshun Patterson (178, college: Tabor) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian forward Jake Newman (198-1994, college: Victoria) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Newman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Karkkila players scored in double figures. Guard Hugo Boman (200-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Ryan Batte (198, college: Thomas More) added 22 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Korinokia. Korinokia's coach Taneli Tuokko rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
