The game was mostly controlled by Forssan Alku. Peli-Karhut managed to win third quarter 25-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forssan Alku forced 21 Peli-Karhut turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jade Vega (165-1997, college: CS Fullerton) who scored 20 points, 6 assists and 8 steals. The other American import forward Bre Gunnels (185-1999, college: UNI) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Forssan Alku's coach Juri Heinamaki used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-1990, college: Portland) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Donica Cosby (172-1988, college: Okla City) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests.
