Second Stage Round 8: BAC - Amager 95-80
Date: April 4, 2023
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Amager's (6-19) road loss to ninth ranked BAC (9-18) 80-95. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. BAC forced 20 Amager turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by point guard Filip Ates (179-2004) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 assists and American center Keane Thomann (211-1989, college: MSSU) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. BAC's coach Thomas Hemmingsen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Jordan Johnson (198-1998, college: Concordia, WI) did not help to save the game for Amager. His fellow American import guard Mitch Pelissier (190-1997, college: Concordia, IL) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BAC maintains ninth position with 9-18 record. Amager at the other side keeps the tenth place with 19 games lost. BAC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amager will play at home against Copenhagen (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
