The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sofia: CSKA (#3) and Levski (#6). CSKA (17-8) won against visiting Levski (12-13) 77-72. Naturalized American guard Brandon Young (192-1991, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Martin Sotirov (201-1999, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. CSKA's coach Georgi Davidov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Ukrainian power forward Sergiy Pavlov (209-1997, agency: BIG) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Alan Arnett (196-1994, college: GSW, agency: BIG) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Levski players scored in double figures. CSKA have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted CSKA maintains third position with 17-8 record having seven points less than leader Rilski. Levski lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. CSKA are looking forward to face Beroe (#7) in Stara Zagora in the next round. Levski will play on the road against Cherno More in Varna and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
