The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-19. But Grindavik won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Haukur Palsson (198-1992, college: Maryland) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Five Njardvik players scored in double figures. American point guard Damier Pitts (177-1989, college: Marshall, agency: SLN) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and the former international guard Olafur Olafsson (194-1990) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds.
