There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Huesca (9-17) was crushed at home by thirteenth ranked Alginet (8-18) 84-46 on Saturday. Alginet dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Huesca's 24. They outrebounded Huesca 45-24 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Hunter Preston (201, college: Columbus St.) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Center Luis Verdeguer (205-1987) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Alginet players scored in double figures. Coach Jose Canales's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Diego Gallardo (192-1996, agency: BIG) produced 16 points and swingman Pablo Yarnoz (194-1996) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
