Second Stage Round 6: Mechelen - Den Bosch 70-53

BNXT League top team - Belgian Kangoeroes (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Dutch Den Bosch (1-5) in Mechelen 70-53. Guard Jo Van Buggenhout (180-2003) notched 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and DR Congolese-Belgian Wen Boss Mukubu (198-1983, college: UAB) supported him with 13 points and 4 steals. Even 12 points by American guard Austin Price (193-1995, college: Lehigh) did not help to save the game for Den Bosch. Center Thomas van der Mars (208-1990, college: Portland) added 9 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kangoeroes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending Dutch champion Den Bosch dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Kangoeroes will play against Zwolle (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Den Bosch will play against Oostende to get more than just one victory in their record.
