Regular Season Round 28: CSKA - Chernomorets 88-86

The most exciting game of round 28 in the NBL took place in Sofia. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Chernomorets (16-11) to third ranked CSKA (19-8) 88-86 in the game for the third place. CSKA looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-1992, college: TAMUCC, agency: BIG) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized American guard Brandon Young (192-1991, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists. Five CSKA players scored in double figures. CSKA's coach Georgi Davidov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international forward Georgi Boyanov (201-1993, college: USA) produced 28 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jordan Tucker (201-1998, college: Butler) added 20 points respectively for lost side. CSKA have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Newly promoted CSKA maintains third position with 19-8 record having six points less than leader Rilski. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. CSKA are looking forward to face Yambol (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Chernomorets will play against Cherno More (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
