The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-15. But Stjarnan won second period 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Kari Jonsson (192-1997, college: Drexel) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists and the former international forward Hjalmar Stefansson (200-1996) who added 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Valur players scored in double figures. At the losing side Swedish William Gutenius (206-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and American Armani Moore (196-1994, college: Tennessee) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds.
