Second Stage Round 7: Den Bosch - Oostende 76-86

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Belgian Oostende (5-2) defeated on the road 9th ranked Dutch Den Bosch (1-6) 86-76 on Friday. Oostende forced 20 Den Bosch turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Breein Tyree (188-1998, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Pierre-Antoine Gillet (201-1991) helped adding 12 points. Four Oostende players scored in double figures. At the losing side Norwegian forward Chris-Ebou Ndow (201-1993, college: NW Missouri St.) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Donte Thomas (201-1996, college: Bradley) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Belgian champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Groningen. Den Bosch lost third consecutive game. Defending Dutch champion dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Amsterdam and Den Helder. Oostende will meet at home Zwolle (#8) in the next round. Den Bosch will play against the league's leader Antwerp Giants and hope to win that game.
