Regular Season Round 26: Getafe - Daimiel 77-83

There was no surprise in Madrid where 8th ranked Getafe (11-13) was defeated by fourth ranked Daimiel (16-9) 83-77 on Saturday. Daimiel looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized Cuban forward Georvys Elias (202-1981) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Cuban guard Raudelis Guerra (191-1993) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Ben Merabli responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pablo Perez (182-1997) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Getafe players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Daimiel maintains fourth position with 16-9 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Getafe at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Infante. Daimiel will meet at home league's leader Real Madrid 2 in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Getafe will play against Tenerife Naut. (#4) and hope to secure a win.
