There was no surprise in Murcia where 10th ranked Carolinas (7-17) was defeated by fourth ranked Archena (17-7) 73-59 on Saturday. Archena outrebounded Carolinas 51-35 including 39 on the defensive glass. Forward Antonio Ferragut (196-1994) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard David Alvarez (184-1996) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Forward Carlos Perez (197-1992) responded with 15 points and point guard Andres Ortin (181-1994) scored 8 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Archena maintains fourth position with 17-7 record. Loser Carolinas keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
