Regular Season Round 26: Molina - Murcia 2 96-67

There was a small surprise when third ranked Molina (20-4) smashed at home their close opponent Murcia 2 (20-18) 96-67 on Saturday. Molina dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Murcia 2's 38. They outrebounded Murcia 2 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Forward Gregory Cadme (194-1999) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Javier Velasco (-2001) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Molina's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Carlos Hurtado (182-2003) responded with 22 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Francisco Garrido (197-2000) scored 15 points. Molina have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Murcia 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
