Regular Season Round 32: Schwenningen - Muenster 82-93

No shocking result in a game when fourteenth ranked Muenster (13-19) beat on the road bottom-ranked Schwenningen (5-26) 93-82 on Sunday. They outrebounded Schwenningen 33-16 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Muenster shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Connor Harding (200-1998, college: Utah Valley) supported him with 22 points and 4 assists. Muenster's coach Bjoern Harmsen used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 20 points by Jacob Knauf (210-1997) did not help to save the game for Schwenningen. American point guard Casey Benson (191-1995, college: GCU) added 11 points and 10 assists for the hosts. Four Muenster and five Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Muenster maintains fourteenth position with 13-19 record. Schwenningen lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Muenster will meet higher ranked Uni Baskets (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Schwenningen will play against Science City Jena (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
