There was no surprise in Es Castell where 12th ranked Pinta Castell (10-16) was defeated by fourth ranked Tarragona (17-9) 67-56 on Sunday. Senegalese forward Ousmane Ndour (205-2005) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Marc Buscail (-2003) chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Forward Gabriel Torres (198-1989) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and French guard Laurent Bagou (191-1988) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tarragona moved-up to third place, which they share with Obradoiro S. Pinta Castell lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Tarragona will meet at home Martinenc (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pinta Castell will play against Navas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
