Second Stage Round 10: Bakken - Svendborg 99-89

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Bakken as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bakken defeated 5th ranked Svendborg in Aarhus 99-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Svendborg. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Gustav Knudsen (204-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Ryan Evans (202-1990, college: Wisconsin) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bakken's coach Anders Sommer used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Devin Whitfield (196-1998, college: LMU) replied with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian forward Tope Arikawe (203-1995, college: N.Texas, agency: One Motive Sports) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Svendborg. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Naestved and Randers. Svendborg at the other side keeps the fifth place with 15 games lost. Svendborg will play next round against strong Naestved trying to get back on the winning streak. Bakken will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Herlev at home.
