It looked good early as Valur took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Thor Thorl had a 28-20 second period charge getting the lead and Valur was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-83. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Styrmir Thrastarson (200-2001, college: Davidson, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American point guard Vinnie Shahid (180-1998, college: NDSU) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Thor Thorl players scored in double figures. The former international guard Kari Jonsson (192-1997, college: Drexel) answered with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and British forward Callum Lawson (198-1996, college: ACU, agency: Players Group) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Valur.
