Regular Season Round 22: Ridzene - Centrum Tigers 52-88

Rather expected game in Riga where 21th ranked Latvian Ridzene (7-11) was rolled over by eighteenth ranked Norwegian Centrum Tigers (8-5) 88-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Centrum Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ridzene to just 6 points in second quarter. Centrum Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ridzene's 26 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ridzene 54-37 including a 42-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. Centrum Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Ridzene's players. Swingman Sivert Nordheim (195-2006) scored 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Elias Demoniere (180-2006) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Centrum Tigers' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Karlis Vallis (-2006) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Tomass Vilkins (-2006) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Centrum Tigers moved-up to eleventh place. Ridzene at the other side dropped to the nineteenth position with 11 games lost.
