The game without a history. Valur led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Valur outrebounded Thor Thorl 55-32 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for British forward Callum Lawson (198-1996, college: ACU, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Kari Jonsson (192-1997, college: Drexel) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Valur players scored in double figures. Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-1983, agency: Interperformances) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and international swingman Styrmir Thrastarson (200-2001, college: Davidson, agency: Blacktop Management) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Thor Thorl. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
