Cactus were ahead by 18 points after three quarters before a 39-20 charge of TSU, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Cactus outrebounded TSU 48-23 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cactus were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by point guard Malcolm Drumwright (188-1995, college: JSU) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Djimon Henson (193-1998, college: Morehead St.) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points, 24 rebounds and 4 assists by power forward Jason Copman (198-1998, college: Dominican, NY) did not help to save the game for Cactus. Guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
