Regular Season Round 32: Roanne - Dijon 73-74

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Dijon (10-22) edged on the road higher ranked Roanne (21-11) 74-73 on Friday. Strangely Roanne outrebounded Dijon 41-23 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by Nathan Vincennes (200-2003) who scored that evening 24 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Thomas Revol (180-2002) supported him with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds by Narcisse Ngoy did not help to save the game for Roanne. Forward Alexandre Bouzidi (196-2004) added 18 points for the hosts. Roanne's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dijon maintains fifteenth position with 10-22 record. Loser Roanne keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Dijon will meet at home higher ranked Gravelines (#14) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Roanne will play against Limoges CSP (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
