Poitiers made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Poitiers outrebounded Union Rennes 45-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Canadian-Nigerian guard Keith Omoerah (194-1992, college: Manitoba, agency: BIG) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and American Courtney Stockard (196-1995, college: St.Bonaventure) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Poitiers players scored in double figures. Guillaume Eyango (200-2002) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Guinean forward Cheick Sekou-Conde (203-1992) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Union Rennes in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
