We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Alicante (18-16) was outleveled by tenth ranked Castello (17-17) in Castellon 100-81 on Friday. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Castello shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Alicante's players. Point guard Joan Faner (176-1990) notched 13 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and Swedish forward David Hook (197-1999, college: E.Wyoming) supported him with 15 points. Five Castello players scored in double figures. Even 19 points by Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (192-1991) did not help to save the game for Alicante. American swingman Delaney Blaylock (196-1997, college: Lewis) added 16 points for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello maintains tenth position with 17-17 record. Alicante lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 16 games lost.
