Venezia was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by naturalized Senegalese power forward Ousmane Diop (204-2000) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Chris Dowe (189-1991, college: Bellarmine, agency: GoEmpire Group) supported him with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sassari players scored in double figures. Even 30 points by naturalized Uruguayan guard Jayson Granger (188-1989) did not help to save the game for Venezia.
