Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Tenerife (24-10) outleveled at home 13th ranked Zaragoza (12-22) 92-69 on Tuesday. Tenerife looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Brazilian-Italian point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-1983) scored 16 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Joan Sastre (201-1991) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Four Tenerife players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cuban guard Howard Sant-Roos (201-1991, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (205-1995, college: Texas A&M) scored 15 points.
