Regular Season Round 1: Novy Jicin - Zlin 91-82

Novy Jicin defeated Zlin at home 91-82. They outrebounded Zlin 47-33 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Matyas Janu (179-2002) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-1993, college: Des Moines A.) contributed with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Novy Jicin players scored in double figures. Center Tomas Voslajer (211-1990) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Jiri Dedek (190-1995) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Zlin. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zlin will play next round against Svitavy trying to get back on the winning streak. Novy Jicin will try to continue on its current victory against Ostrava at home.
