Everything went according to plan when Nancy (3-0) outscored at home Dijon (1-2) 80-53 on Tuesday. Nancy dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Dijon's 22. Nancy forced 21 Dijon turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Guillaume Grotzinger (195-2004) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Cameroonian Yves Mballa (199-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Mathys Kangudia (188-2004) who recorded 17 points and 4 assists and Nathan Vincennes (200-2003) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Dijon's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Nancy will meet Cholet (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Dijon will play against Levallois and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
