Sixers (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Schwelm on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Schwelm 101-77. They made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Schwelm had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Schwelm looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Robert Merz (198-2000) who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-1990, college: Dubuque) chipped in 21 points. Five Schwelm players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tim Martinez (198-2002) who recorded 12 points and forward Yassin Mahfouz (194-1993) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Schwelm will meet Braves (#5) in the next round. Sixers will play against Rist Wedel and hope to secure a win.
