There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Cholet (3-2) was edged at home by tenth ranked Monaco (3-2) 73-71 on Saturday. Monaco outrebounded Cholet 53-30 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Iranian guard Mohammad Amini (202-2005, agency: BIG) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Nicolas Vanel (193-2003, agency: VM Hoops Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Amael LEtang (214-2005) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Adrien Pereira (186-2004) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively. Cholet's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Monaco moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Cholet. Monaco will meet at home league's second-placed Bourg in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cholet will play against Limoges (#3) and hope to secure a win.
