Regular Season Round 4: Leuven - Liege 78-84

Another exciting game for Liege Basket (2-2) which played on the court of 7th ranked Leuven Bears (1-3). Eighth ranked Liege Basket won 84-78. They made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Liege Basket had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Leuven Bears were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Emmanuel Lecomte (180-1995, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists and DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Kevin Tumba (206-1991) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Thibault Vanderhaegen (202-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Tyreke Key (188-1998, college: Tennessee) scored 24 points. Leuven Bears' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Liege Basket went down to fifteenth position due to points difference, which they share with Kortrijk and Mechelen. Leuven Bears at the other side dropped to the eighteenth place with three games lost. Liege Basket will play against higher ranked Oostende (#13) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leuven Bears will play against Spirou Charleroi (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
