Regular Season Round 1: Rilski - Minyor 2015 95-49

Rilski used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Pernik 95-49 on Saturday night. Rilski dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Minyor 2015's 24. Rilski forced 20 Minyor 2015 turnovers and outrebounded them 34-17 including a 25-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rilski especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Minyor 2015's players. American Joe Lawson (200, college: Indianapolis) nailed 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Miroslav Vasov (199) accounted for 12 points and 6 assists. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rilski players scored in double figures. Rilski's coach Mladen Manojlovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin Danilo Aranitovic (202-1998) came up with 9 points and 4 steals and the former international swingman Lachezar Toshkov (187-2002, agency: BIG) added 11 points respectively for Minyor 2015 in the defeat. Rilski will meet Chernomorets in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Minyor 2015 will play against Spartak Pleven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
