Regular Season Round 5: Decin - Nymburk 60-96

Very predictable result when leader Nymburk (5-0) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Decin (0-5) 96-60 on Sunday. Nymburk dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Decin's 22. They outrebounded Decin 54-29 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Slovakian guard Peter Kovacik (190-2005) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Adam Adamec (163-2006) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Nymburk players scored in double figures. Nymburk's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Vojtech Cermak (186) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Petr Kolar (180-2005) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Nymburk. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with USK Praha and GBA Lions. Decin lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. Nymburk will meet at home league's second-placed USK Praha in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Decin will play against Sokol Pisek (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
