The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Korihait (2-1) in Uusikaupunki. Hosts were defeated by Nokia (3-0) 97-91. The guests were already 11 points ahead at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 20-13 last quarter charge of Korihait cut the lead to 97-91 at the end of the game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Kahron Ross (180-1995, college: Lehigh, agency: One Motive Sports) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Both Gach (201-1999, college: Utah) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Nokia's coach Greg Gibson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Javion Ogunyemi (206-1995, college: Siena) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian point guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-1988) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Korihait in the defeat. Four Nokia and five Korihait players scored in double figures. Nokia will play against Vilpas (#10) in Salo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Korihait will play on the road against Lahti (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
