The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Jurbarkas (2-1) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by Stekas (2-1) 73-70. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stekas made 25 blocks. It was a great evening for swingman Tadas Rinkunas (195-1991) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 assists. Forward Karolis Brusokas (202-1991) helped adding 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. The best for the losing side was point guard Aidas Kavaliauskas (186-1995, college: Fairfield) with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and center Ignas Juskevicius (200-1991) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Stekas is looking forward to face Suduva-Mantinga (#3) in Marijampole in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jurbarkas will play on the road against Zalgiris II in Kaunas and is hoping to win this game.
