Regular Season Round 2: Koroivos - Amyntas 85-66

The biggest surprise of round 2 in Elite League took place in Koroivos where host Koroivos crushed Amyntas 85-66 on Saturday evening. Koroivos shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kaheem Ransom (186-1993, college: SHSU, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who scored 11 points and 8 assists. Forward Alexandros Kalaitzakis (200-2003, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Nikos Liakopoulos (188-1983) produced 14 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and center Marios Doxas (207-1996) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Amyntas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Amyntas will play next round against Panionios trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena of Panionios. Koroivos will try to continue on its current victory against Milonas in Athens.
