Regular Season Round 4: Palanga - Telsiai 89-90

Undefeated Palanga (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were edged by top-ranked Telsiai (3-0) 90-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Palanga. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Telsiai players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 21 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Aurimas Urbonas (198-1993) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-1987) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Julius Kazakauskas (196-1990) replied with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Robert Subotkevic (203-1998) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Palanga. Five Telsiai and four Palanga players scored in double figures. Palanga's coach Sandis Buskevics rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Telsiai have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Delikatesas. Palanga at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Vilkaviskis and Jurbarkas. Telsiai will play against league's second-placed Delikatesas in Joniskis in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palanga will play at home against Rytas 2 and hopes to get back on the winning track.
