The game in Sauoarkrokur was also quite interesting. Keflavik played at the court of Tindastoll. Tindastoll did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 105-88 on Saturday. Tindastoll outrebounded Keflavik 46-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international guard Thorir Thorbjarnarson (198-1998, college: Nebraska) notched a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and British forward Callum Lawson (198-1996, college: ACU, agency: Players Group) supported him with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by Filipino-American point guard Remy Martin (183-1998, college: Kansas) did not help to save the game for Keflavik. Slovenian forward Jaka Brodnik (203-1992) added 20 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Tindastoll will meet Grindavik on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Keflavik will play against Valur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
