Regular Season Round 7: Olomoucko - Pardubice 87-86

There was an upset in Prostejov where higher ranked Pardubice (3-3) was edged by ninth ranked Olomoucko (3-4) 87-86 on Saturday. Olomoucko made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Adrio Bailey (197-1997, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Marcus Shaver Jr (188-1998, college: Boise St.) helped adding 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side American forward Joey Brunk (211-1997, college: Ohio St.) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-1994) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olomoucko moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Decin. Pardubice lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Olomoucko will meet at home Slavia (#11) in the next round. Pardubice will play against Kolin (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
