Koroivos (2-1) recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by Milonas (2-1) 65-41. Milonas held Koroivos to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Koroivos 49-38 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Andreas Kanonidis (200-1991) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Fotios Zoumpos (194-1993) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Milonas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Kaheem Ransom (186-1993, college: SHSU, agency: Mansfield and Associates) with 11 points and Marios Dermitzakis (203-1992) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Milonas will play against Charilaos (#8) in Mesolongi in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Koroivos will play on the road against Panionios (#7) in Athens and hopes to get back on the winning track.
