NH Ostrava's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after seven consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Slavia (3-5) 98-68 on Wednesday. NH Ostrava dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Slavia's 34. NH Ostrava forced 19 Slavia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Slavia's players. The winners were led by American forward Elyjah Williams (201, college: Northwestern, agency: GoEmpire Group) who scored that evening 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Chase Jeter (208-1997, college: Arizona) supported him with 17 points. Four NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. NH Ostrava's coach Adam Choleva felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Lesley Varner Jr (201-1998, college: UTRGV, agency: Helping Ballers) did not help to save the game for Slavia. Cape Verdean-American guard Williams Tavares (198-1995, college: Fordham) added 19 points for the guests. NH Ostrava maintains twelfth position with 1-7 record. Loser Slavia dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Olomoucko.
