Rather predictable result when second ranked Budivelnyk (4-1) outscored on the road 5th ranked Rivne (4-2) 76-49 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Budivelnyk held Rivne to an opponent 24.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Oleksandr Kolchenko (195, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Volodymyr Koniev (203-1989) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Romeo Smith (202-1995, college: Missouri Valley) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Oleksii Soloviov (192-1997) scored 11 points. Budivelnyk have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader Dnipro. Newly promoted Rivne dropped to the third place with two games lost. Budivelnyk's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kyiv to the arena Kyiv Basket.
