Top-ranked Skyliners (4-0) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Kirchheim Knights (3-1) 79-77 in the fight for the first place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kirchheim Knights. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward David Muenkat (201-2000, college: St.Francis X.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds and Lorenz Brenneke (204-2000) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Skyliners' coach Denis Wucherer allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American center Nick Muszynski (211-1998, college: Belmont) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Mike Miller (193-1997, college: N.Texas) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
